For maximum adhesion, clean surfaces with appropriate solvent (reclaimed solvents should not be used) to remove dirt, grease and processing oils just prior to application. Use approved cheesecloth, or equivalent, that is free of oil and soap. Always turn cloth frequently to prevent contamination. Always pour solvent on the cloth to avoid contaminating the solvent supply. Clean only a small area at a time, quickly wiping it dry with another clean cloth. Turn cloth frequently, before the solvent evaporates to prevent redeposition of oil, wax or other contaminants. |
Application Instructions
Application Instructions |
N/A 3M™ Adhesion Promoter AC-160 may be applied to solvent cleaned surfaces with clean gauze or brush. Excess should be wiped off while still wet with clean gauze sponges. The adhesion promoter should be applied very thinly to the surface. The surface should remain a uniform pink color. Dry approximately 15-30 minutes at standard conditions. If sealant is not applied within 24 hours, the panel should be recleaned and the adhesion promoter reapplied. |
